Wisconsin

One of my best friends from camp lives in La Crosse, Wisconsin, so after a few days in Chicago, me and two other friends were up at 5am to get a coach to Wisconsin. We arrived around 2pm after stopping in Milwaukee on the way. We were picked up from the bus station in style in my friend's dad's jeep so we could fit all our luggage in. We spent the rest of the day food shopping and exploring the small city of La Crosse, which sits on the Mississippi River.

The next day (Monday), we spent some more time exploring La Crosse. We visited the Friendship Garden and later on in the evening took a short hike to one of the bluffs (a rock face overlooking the city).

The next couple of days were spent in Nekoosa, WI, where my friend's parents lived, as their house was closer to some of the places we planned on visiting. On Wednesday, we went to Mount Olympus Water Park in the Wisconsin Dells, a very popular holiday place and the waterpark capital of the world! 

Thursday, we went to Devils Lake State Park in Baraboo, WI. As I love landscape photography, I particularly enjoyed the views at Devils Lake. We hiked for around an hour in the hot sunshine up to Devils Doorway which gave us amazing views overlooking the lake.
