Out and About

Last Friday, me and and my friend went out into the Peak District for a walk, which was the perfect opportunity for me to experiment with some more landscape photography. We went to one of my favourite places in the Peak District called Padley Gorge which is only about 30 minutes away from where I live. Over the years I've taken so many photos there so I thought I would try to look for things I haven't taken photos of before. I used different vantage points such as getting low/high and zooming in to get a different perspective. By making a more conscious effort to think about what I was shooting rather than just taking photos of the pretty landscape I ended up with some interesting images. There are some more stereotypical ones but I also tried to focus on a few different themes. Carrying on from looking at the rocks in the landscape in Wirksworth, I shot photographs of the rock formations, and I also looked at the water as well as the rocks and tried to make the water the focal points of the shots. We also encountered some cows whilst we were there and took some photos of those too!
