My summer at Camp Lakewood

As many of you probably know, I spent my summer working as a camp counselor at YMCA Camp Lakewood, Missouri, USA. When I first signed up for the Camp America programme, I had no idea what an amazing summer I would have, filled with amazing memories and even greater friends.

Over the three months, I took part in loads of different activities and weird camp traditions, met amazing kids who made me act like a kid and spent the most time outside I've ever spent in my life. Most days, the Missouri heat and humidity was unbearable, but being a lifeguard meant I spent a lot of time down at the waterfront and in the lake, even if I did end up with crazy tan lines!

I feel like I can't really put into words the absolutely amazing time I had at Camp Lakewood: I became part of a family I didn't know I needed and have made friends for life from all over the world. Here are some photos from my summer:
